If you’re in the Los Angeles area, you have access to some of the best free and low-cost spay/neuter resources in the country. The Good Boy Foundation has compiled the following programs to make it as easy as possible to take this step for your dog.
Free Programs
ASPCA Spay/Neuter Clinic — Free surgeries for dogs, cats, and rabbits for South LA residents. Located at 1850 W. 60th Street, Los Angeles, CA 90047. LA Spaymobile — A mobile clinic offering free spay/neuter for income-qualified City of Los Angeles residents. Call (800) 772-9452 to make an appointment or check their schedule at laanimalservices.com
LA City Spay/Neuter Voucher Program — City of Los Angeles residents may qualify for free or discounted vouchers through LA Animal Services. Apply online at lacityvet.com/onlinevoucher
LA County Spay/Neuter Voucher Program (SNVP) — For residents of unincorporated LA County or participating contract cities. Vouchers help offset the cost of surgery at participating clinics. Apply at voucher.animalcare.lacounty.gov
Low-Cost Programs
Spay 4 LA — Free to low-cost spay/neuter, vaccines, and microchips for dogs and cats in low-income areas of LA City and County. Call 1-888-SPAY-4-LA or email Book@Spay4LA.org. 1888spay4la.org
CAMP LA (Community Animal Medicine Project) — Multiple clinic locations across LA, including San Pedro, Mission Hills, Van Nuys, and more. High-quality, low-cost spay/neuter for underserved communities. campla.org
Peter Zippi Memorial Fund — Partners with CAMP clinics across LA to provide spay/neuter financial assistance. peterzippifund.org/spay-neuter
